A new regulatory framework from the FAA will pave the way to scale up drone delivery fleets. Amazon and others have long advocated for new guidelines that will allow large-scale registration of an entire model of drone instead of firms having to seek out waivers and approvals for individual projects. The regulatory reform comes just in time for New Yorkers to get their first taste of airborne delivery of their favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor.
